Chantilly Scouts celebrate 150 years of St Peter’s church with the Anglo community

On Saturday 3rd October, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers came together to celebrate 150 years since St Peter’s church was founded. Although Scouting is multi-faith, the church is an important hub for the English speaking community, and is the home of the Scout Hall where we meet each week. It was thus a pleasure to run our meeting at the same time as the service, and afterwards to join in the fun and games of the celebrations afterwards.

The day gave the Scouts a great opportunity to practice their pioneering and to build a balance beam that kept the Chantilly children entertained.

At 5.30 the Scouts along with the other Chantilly children released 150 helium balloons into the sky.

Many thanks to all those who helped with the brilliant organisation.

The next meeting will be on the 7th November when the Scouts will take the forests to track a group of fearsome bandits to their lair….
