We have used Speed Ferries a couple of times now and they are very good and efficient. But be prepared if you do not travel well! I have heard it called the "vomit comet"!! I am not too good normally but it is only for 50 minutes and so far, so good! If you look on their web site "speedferries.com" you will find new offers all the time.

I travel to and from the Uk alot, and I have been using speedferries since the tunnel fire.
I have to says it good, its not expensive 9espcially when you compare with tunnel)
You can get a 'premier class' booking which means you load quickly etc, for about 150 euros return, the normal tickets are about 35 euros and you can upgrade to prem class for 5 at the check in....
i used the tunnel recently and it cost £400 and took 45 mins and they only run every 90 mins.....
it was rought this weekend but i travel well, even if you dont its not too bad...
Looks like Speedferries are no more which is a shame - full story here.
