I would just like to bring your attention to a garage at the top end of Chantilly, which is one of the latest garages to open up here. Having had some experience's with these people i have found out that they have been changing parts on my car that do not need always changing, therefore paying out alot more money than i should be. ( me probably not being the only person they are doing this to.) Having found this out by returning to my old garage where i bought the car in the first place and being given a price alot..lot..lot lower. All this because the garage at Chantilly told me that there were other parts that needed changing at the same time. Where in fact after looking at my car my old garage confirmed that this was not the case. And just to add......their manners have alot to be desired after my kids and myself were spoken to VERY RUDELY.
Thanks for the warning - is this a new garage you are talking about? I did see a London cab parked up at the end of town which was advertising a garage - would be sad to see something appealing to expats and then ripping them off!

The garage which i am referring to, is the one that handles..............
LANDROVER...VOLVO..(FORD i think)and JAGUAR.
Next to the garage BMW.
That's bad news - we've just bought a new car there!

OOPS!!! They tried to sell me a new car awhile back. They rang me at home one time around 17h30 just when i was sorting out the kids dinner.
I don't no why they phoned because i never spoke to them about buying a new one, i think they just decided to try anyway!!!!!
I think there main goal is.............MONEY! If you need a landrover garage which is very good just let me know and i will give you the address.
The only thing is.....is that it's at Beauvais.
(Hopefully you'll have more luck than i did........hope you know more about cars than i do).
Mercedes-Benz at Chantilly/Gouvieux. I went to pick up my car and it had a chunk out of the wheel and a slashed tyre from hitting a curb or something(which was new the week before). The owner claimed that he had taken delivery of it like that from me.As the red mist descended and with my limited French I gave a pretty good impression of Krakatoa and expanded his English vocabulary. In seconds he suddenly "remembered" that the car had been driven to an off site workshop where there had been a little "accident". He did not apologise, but is repairing the car.His attitude was very much in the mould that trying to rip his customers off was fair game.If you have any problems with main dealer garages threaten to take the issue to the car manufacturer directly. The garages operate the franchise under licence and the car producers do not like the licensees giving their product a bad image.
